Public Health Preparedness
• The New York Academy of Sciences have created the "Resource Guide for Public Health Preparedness" which is designed to provide "a single point of access to essential information resources in public health and disaster preparedness, selected and cataloged by information specialists."
• A new web site that features a calendar of all bioterrorism courses taught by the Texas Bioterrorism Continuing Education (BCE) Consortium is now available. These classes include the National Disaster Life Support (NDLS) courses: BDLS, CDLS, and ADLS, as well as the one- and two-hour Level 1 courses: Introduction to Bioterrorism Preparedness (1 hour) and Recognizing and Responding to Bioterrorism and Other Public Health Emergencies (2 hours). These classes and all other bioterrorism classes in Texas that we are aware of can also be found in the Calendar.

Education and Training
TB Education & Training Resources is a searchable, comprehensive database of materials from national and international organizations. At this "one-stop" site of tuberculosis (TB) education and training resources, you can search for materials by language, target audience, and format.
Collaborative Leadership "The Collaborative Leadership Web site is a product of Turning Point and its Leadership Development National Excellence Collaborative. Purpose of this Web site is to act as a gateway to additional information and products to support participants and trainers in their journey toward becoming more effective collaborative leaders. The Web site is maintained by the Turning Point Program. The curriculum materials are distributed by the National Public Health Leadership Development Network at the Saint Louis University School of Public Health."

Health Data Tools and Statistics
DATA 2010 is an interactive database system developed at the Division of Health Promotion Statistics at the National Center for Health Statistics that contains the most recent monitoring data for tracking Healthy People 2010.
Profiles of America allows you to manipulate various socioeconomic data series used in many Economic Resource Service (ERS) products. Use the interactive tools to create and manipulate charts, maps, and tables-including multidimensional tables, such as poverty rates by metro/nonmetro status.
Surveillance Research: Where can I find cancer incidence statistics? A list of reports and research tools to help you find cancer incidence statistics.
2005 State Snapshots are dashboards of health care quality measures and include detailed, customized tables for each State.

Health Promotion and Health Education
Healthy Roads Media contains free audio, written and multimedia health education materials in a number of languages.

Legislation and Policy
AMCHP Legislative Center works to strengthen national policy and increase resources for maternal and child health programs.

First Responders
The National Library of Medicine's WISER is an application designed to assist first responders in hazardous material incidents. WebWISER provides the WISER functionality via the Internet, without downloading of software or data to the desktop.
