Workforce Development Internships

These internships are available from time to time.

Students will:
• Develop an understanding of the composition and characteristics of the Texas public health workforce
• Develop an understanding of workforce development program planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Develop an understanding of the role of workforce policy in the Texas public health system

Objectives achieved by:
• Assistance in collaborative program design and planning
• Participation in meetings with state and local officials
• Literature review and information and data collection and analysis
• Opportunity for two one-week experiences with the Texas Department of State Health Services in Austin
